SPIRIT2 Deluxe

This latest model includes a shower with hot and cold pressurised water and a flush toilet. It is also fully equipped for cooking, dining, and sleeping. It has its own 2 ring cooker, microwave oven, fridge freezer, and ample storage, which includes a long wardrobe and special ski locker. There is heating throughout which will keep you warm in winter and driver's cab air-conditioning for long summer days.

DRIVING

• Seating Configuration: Seatbelts for two in the front driving cab
• Radio/Cassette: Radio/CD player (Mercedes), radio/cassette player (Ford).
• Cigarette Lighter: 12V which is suitable to charge up video camera batteries.
• Fuel: Diesel only: 68 litre tank/15 gallon.
• Fuel Consumption: Approximately 7 km per litre, 14 litres per 100 km. This may vary, subject to use of air-conditioning, temperature and terrain.

Engine Specifications:

• 2.2 litre, diesel turbo (Merc), 2.5 litre, diesel turbo (Ford).
• Transmission: 5 speed manual (Merc), automatic (Ford).
• Power Equipment: Power steering, power assisted brakes.
• Tyres: Tyre pressure should be checked regularly. The recommended pressure is 55 psi.
• Spare Tyre: The spare tyre is located under rear of the vehicle. External access only.
• Tools: The tool kit is located behind the drivers seat.

LIVING

• Sleeping configuration: One double bed (Mercedes: 1.82m x 1.74m, Ford: 1.80m x 1.80m).
• Fridge Freezer: The fridge operates on 12V battery whilst driving and on 240V mains when plugged in at a campground. The fridge will automatically switch over between the two supplies. Fridge capacity 55 litre.
• Gas Cooker: 2 ring cooker with griller ignited by match. Gas Bottle: 2 x 2.5kg bottle. The gas bottle is located in the external storage locker on the drivers side of the vehicle. Bottle has an 'ON/OFF' tap on it. Please ensure it is in 'OFF' position when not in use and when driving.
• Microwave: The microwave operates from 240V only so the vehicle must be plugged into mains power to operate.
• Bathroom Facilities: Hot and cold pressurised water in shower cubicle.
• Toilet: Located in cubicle with shower. Flush toilet waste goes into cassette holding tank that is accessed from exterior compartment door. Toilet is full of chemicals on pick-up of vehicle, with a small complimentary supply. Toilet cassette holding tank must be flushed out and empty on drop-off.
• Water Heater: Water heater works on gas and is operated by a switch. Water will be heated after approximately 15 minutes.
• Fresh Water Tank: Capacity is 70 litre/15 gallon. The filler cap is located on the passenger side of the vehicle marked 'WATER' and the filler hose is in the wardrobe.
• Grey Water Tank: Holding tank for grey waste water generated from the shower and kitchen sink. Disposable at all camp grounds and dump sites. Holds 70 litres/15 gallons grey water, and should be empty on drop-off. Grey water hose is in the driver's side exterior compartment.
• Lighting: Interior lights operate off both 12V batteries and 240V mains supply.
• Air Conditioning/Heating: Air conditioning operates in drivers cab only when engine is running. Rear cabin heating operates on 240V when plugged in at a camping ground only.
• Power Supply: 240V mains and 12V battery. The 240V mains power operates when the exterior power cable is plugged in at a campground. There are two 12V batteries, one for starting the engine and the other for domestic 12V system. This system includes water pump and fridge. Batteries are recharged by engine alternator.
• Storage: Ample cupboard space, storage under seats at rear of vehicle and hanging wardrobe. Additional luggage storage at Maui Branches.
• Skylights: One in the rear of the living area. Ensure this is closed when driving.
• Fly Screens: Placed on all windows in living area.
• Flooring: Easy to care for linoleum.
• Internal Access: Internal access between the driver's cabin and living area.
• Exterior Access: Back door, with exterior doorstep.
